Parents' Weekend
In addition, for the first time ever, and by popular demand, St. Nersess Seminary will sponsor a Parents' Weekend at the Seminary. In an atmosphere of prayer and fellowship, participants will have the opportunity to discuss challenges to parenting teens and college students and raising them in the faith and identity of the Armenian Church. The weekend will take place from June 6-8, 2008. Further details will follow.
Summer Conferences
The High School conferences are open to students entering the 9th-12th grades in September 2008. Older students are invited to attend one of the Post-High School Conferences. Youngsters entering the 7th-8th grades are invited to the Junior High Conference.
The St. Nersess Summer Conferences offer Armenian youth an opportunity to learn about their Armenian faith, culture and history in a unique environment. Each conference will offer daily worship, Bible study, Armenian language instruction, lectures and discussions led by clergy and lay leaders of our Church.
In addition, sports, excursions and social activities are also planned. This well-rounded religious, cultural and social experience creates the perfect opportunity for young people to make lasting friendships and continue the tradition that has made St. Nersess Seminary's Summer Conferences so successful for nearly 50 years.
A maximum of 25 students will be accepted for each conference. Participants with completed applications and full payment will be considered in the order received. Due to space and logistical planning, half of the full payment is non-refundable. Please contact your local parish for available scholarship monies. The fee for the Summer Conference includes room and board.
