MORE THAN 200 YOUNG PEOPLE EXPECTED FOR THIS SUMMER'S ST. NERSESS CONFERENCES!
As the seminarians head toward the final turn of this academic year, St. Nersess Armenian Seminary is getting ready to shift gears to its summer mission: welcoming hundreds of Junior High School, High School and College students to St. Nersess for a few days of faith, friendship, learning and fun. Applications are now available for this summer's seven summer conferences, a chance for young people to take a step closer to their Armenian Christian roots, and a step closer to God, all in the uniquely fun environment of St. Nersess Seminary.

Deacons' Training and Liturgical Music Program
St. Nersess will also offer a special Deacons' Training and Liturgical Music Program from June 24-July 3. This program is designed for men and women (age 15 and up) who would like to participate more actively and meaningfully in the worship of the Armenian Church. Practical workshops and interactive classes teach the participants the choir and deacons' parts of the liturgy and take the mystery out of the rituals, the hymns, the symbols, and the chants. Students who complete the program return to their home churches with polished liturgical and musical skills, a more satisfying sense of participation in the church's worship, and many new friends. While beginners work on the basic music and rituals of the Divine Liturgy, advanced students this summer will learn some of the beautiful hymns of the Night Service (Ganonaklookh, Alelook, and Takavork).

To apply, download an application or request one from your parish priest or directly from St. Nersess. Completed applications received with full payment will be accepted on a first come-first served basis. For space reasons the conferences are limited to 30 participants and are anticipated to fill quickly. Check with your church for the possibility of scholarships. NOTE: Except for health emergencies no refunds will be made for cancellations within 21 days of the conference start date.
