It has been already three years since I began serving in the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America. During those three years I have never missed an occasion, and in fact, I have looked forward to opportunities to visit St. Nersess Seminary, to lecture, to pray with the students and to enjoy the gracious hospitality of this sacred institution.
St. Nersess is one of those unique educational centers in Armenian reality that not only dispenses knowledge and educates the mind, but even more so it illuminates the soul and the heart of its students through a living communion with our Lord Jesus Christ, and guides them on the path to God. Indeed, St. Nersess transforms lives.
In this regard, the efforts and enthusiasm of the dean and professors are laudable. They understand well that there is no greater responsibility, advantage and benefit in life than the education of the next generation.
If the priest is called to lift up the souls of the people, then he, first of all, must have already ascended to the spiritual height. I firmly believe that St. Nersess is that intellectual and spiritual height upon which are standing the seminarians, who as our future clergy will lead our people to God.
With prayers from the depth of my heart I wish that St. Nersess Seminary will be blessed with many years of God-pleasing and fruitful ministry.

Very Rev. Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan
