A spirited group of Armenian-American young people
at St. Nersess Seminary this summer
November 6, 2007
This coming Saturday, November 11, 2007, a St. Nersess Day will take place at St. Sarkis Armenian Church in Dallas Texas. The event is open to all youth in the community. The theme for the day will be Make room for God: In your Life, Family, Church, Work and School.
Fr. Stepanos Doudoukjian, the St. Nersess Director of Youth and Vocations will lead various sessions for all ages. He will visit the Armenian school, have lunch and discussions with 12-16 year olds. Later, Fr. Stepanos will share dinner and discussions with High School seniors, college students and post-college youth.
Make Room for God!
With the approach of Advent beginning on November 25, an emphasis will be placed on the church's gift of Advent, a fifty-day period of preparation which allows one to make room for God, as we await Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ.
The Seminary regularly organizes weekend events for young people in the parishes of the Eastern and Western Dioceses.
The St. Nersess Day at St. Sarkis Armenian Church will provide faith, fun and friendship for youth of all ages. For further information, contact the Seminary at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone: (914) 636-2003.
